please specify which project of Mahira you are talking about... This sector-68 is sold, you may get some inventory in Resale but check builders background because they haven't delivered any project yet.

Housing project’s licence cancelled, buyers in a fix

    Bagish Jha / May 12, 2022, 03:05 IST

Gurgaon: More than 1,500 homebuyers in Mahira Homes, an affordable housing project in Sector 68, are in a fix over the town and country planning department’s (DTCP) move to cancel the licence of the project and lodge an FIR against its developer “for submitting forged documents and fabricated bank guarantees”.

Most of the buyers have already paid 100% of the amount to the developer and are awaiting possession. Though the DTCP plans to complete the project, keeping the interest of the investors in mind, many homebuyers questioned how the licence was granted to the developer in the first place when fake documents were submitted.

In 2017, the DTCP granted the licence to Mahira Infratech Pvt Ltd (formerly, Sai Asina Farms Pvt Ltd) for developing the affordable housing project over 10 acres of land in Sector 68. However, the department began probing complaints of several irregularities against the developer in 2020.

“The director of the town and country planning department has directed us to immediately start the process of taking over the project so that public interest can be safeguarded. H-Rera has also been urged to freeze the accounts of the developer,” DTP (enforcement) RS Batth told TOI. An FIR has also been filed at the Badshahpur police station against Mahira Infratech and its directors for fraud and forgery on Monday.

DTCP officials said that they would complete the project in the interest of the homebuyers. “All the allottees are requested to submit details of their investments, along with documentary proof of agreement and payment, in the next 15 days,” said Sanjeev Man, senior town planner.

However, the homebuyers questioned the DTCP’s move at the last moment “when the project is nearing completion”. “In 2020, the DTCP ordered the developer to stop construction at the project site and sale and transfer of flats. But the developer was not directed to stop collecting money from the buyers. Now that we have made 100% payment, the DTCP has cancelled the licence,” said Dhruv Kapoor, a homebuyer.

“How the licence was issued to the developer on fake documents and why they are waking up after so many years, and that too, at a time when the project is nearing completion,” asked Amit Anand, another homebuyer.

Gurugram: Buyers seek action plan on completion of Sector 68 project, protest as licence cancelled

      Rao Jaswant Singh / TNN / Updated: May 14, 2022, 10:05 IST

Aggrieved homebuyers of Mahira Homes in Sector 68 staged a protest outside the office of the department of town and country planning (DTCP) in Sector 14 on Friday, demanding immediate takeover of the affordable housing project and early possession of their flats.
More than 1,500 homebuyers, most of whom have already paid 100% of the amount to the developer, have been left in the lurch.

GURUGRAM: Aggrieved homebuyers of Mahira Homes in Sector 68 staged a protest outside the office of the department of town and country planning (DTCP) in Sector 14 on Friday, demanding immediate takeover of the affordable housing project and early possession of their flats.

More than 1,500 homebuyers, most of whom have already paid 100% of the amount to the developer, have been left in the lurch, with the DTCP recently cancelling the licence of the project and recommending the registration of an FIR against Mahira Infratech Pvt Ltd (formerly, Sai Asina Farms Pvt Ltd) for “forging documents and fabricating bank guarantees”.

Some 100 allottees reached the DTCP office and staged a protest, demanding to know the department’s plan of action. “We want to know about the timeline of the project takeover by DTCP and a timeline for completion of construction,” one of them told TOI.

DTCP officials said they have already initiated the process to take over the project. “The interest of allottees will be taken care of. We have directed the allottees to share with us all investment details, along with proofs, to ascertain the status of funds,” senior town planner Sanjeev Mann said. When contacted, a spokesperson for the developer said, “We are appealing against the DTCP’s decision and want to assure the allottees that their investments are safe and possession of their flats will be given on time.”
