A lot of companies are advertising for property citing nearness to Dwarka expressway corridor.

Shilas, Indiabulls Centrum Park and Ramprastha Edge Tower come to mind.

Does anybody have news on when this construction will start and when it is likely to finish? Has the contract been awarded and to whom?
Date of completion and start of operation will be vital news for evaluating the pricing of flats sold in this corridor.

Last I heard was that a few houses in Palam Vihar were slated for demolition for this expressway in May June 09 or thereabouts.

After getting the nod from the Haryana government to take up rehabilitation of Dwarka expressway oustees with original titles deeds, Haryana Urban?Development Authority (Huda) Gurgaon has resolved that the Gurgaon section of the road from Kherki Daula to New Palam Vihar will be made motorable by March 31.

The proposal was approved in a meeting of the authority chaired by chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh. It was also agreed that issues pertaining to general power of attorney or special power of attorney (GPA/SPA) holders can be decided later as this matter was still under litigation.

The decision comes in the wake of immense pressure from apartment buyers and developers who have properties on both sides of the expressway. Over 70,000 home buyers have invested in this area with the hope that the road will offer better connectivity both to Delhi and Gurgaon.

As per the Huda proposal, the authority will acquire property of oustees with original titles and directions have already been issued to identify these within a week.

“The court had issued stay on issue of allotment letters to GPA/SPA holders. By taking this new approach, work can be expedited and road can be made motorable by March 31, 2017. There are only 68 persons who are GPA/SPA holders and their matter can be resolved based on the court’s directions,” said Yashpal Yadav, Huda administrator.

The authority had allotted 269 plots to expressway oustees through draw of lots between July and August 2016. Around 60 plots were also allotted to GPA/SPA holders from a pool of 465 applicants. But, none of them could be given allotment letters as a land owners objected to the inclusion of GPA/SPA holders in the draw of lots and obtained a stay from Punjab and Haryana high court.

However, with the Haryana government giving the go ahead to the rehabilitation of other oustees, Huda will now be able to conduct a draw of lots for 140 oustees of Kherki Daula and Chauma, who had earlier disagreed with the land settlement.

“The draw of lots, issue of allotment letters and removal of structures should not take more than a month. We want to make this road motorable by March 31 at all costs,” said Yadav, adding that an early hearing petition will also be filed in court once the communique from government comes.

The urban authority is also planning to write to the railway department to expedite the construction work of railway overbridge. Besides, it has also asked the enforcement wing of Huda to identify major structures on the right of way and hand over these to the engineering wing for demolition.

The Dwarka expressway has been delayed by over seven years due to litigation by land owners and the latest court case had brought the project to a standstill.

In October 2016, the Punjab and Haryana high court had stayed the issue of allotment letters to oustees, who did not have original title deeds.

In November, 2016, the High Court had sought all documents including the GPAs/ SPAs on the basis of which allotment was made.

The Court also did not give any relief to the authority when it approached it for vacating the stay and listed the matter for March, 2017.

Even if this comes true, I guess only the Gurgaon section would be ready. Even that would be a breather.

    Wow!! Amazing 180deg turning from earlier statement, लगता हैं मालकों को सच्ची बात पसंद नहीं आई but HUDA के बाबु please have answer of my few questions:

Do you have possession of land or any chance to get it near future for sector 110a?
Do you have duly pursue all contempt of orders before moving ahead?
Do you have disbursed the compensations in lieu of houses/land?
Do you have check that most of structures fall across width of NPR and these have GPA/SPA titles?
Do you have permission to shift HT lines or concerned department ready to do in sector 110a?
Do you have released or capable to released tender for development of sector 110a?
Do you have basic amenities main lines anywhere near sector 110a?
70% title owners are GPA/SPA holders than from where the numbers as publishing in paper are coming from?

Assuming HUDA somehow manages to get things moving and partial DEW is operational.
Would you be a happy man or not.

Always appreciated the info that you bring.. +/- both. But wondering if you will be happy if DEW gets running in next Quarter.

All builders would delivered possession with all amenities as promised by next month. You would get compensation for delay penalty * 24%, housing prices shall appreciated by 300% within 2 weeks. There is no place entire India as good livable as Dwarka Expressway......etc. .....etc.....etc....and all your wishes to become richest man.....dozen of cars.....servants.....ten Mistress always ready for you as you wish....Is this sufficient or anything else do you want????

Oh...not yet satisfied....let's have a sleep once again.....

Please correct me If I'm wrong; I was under the impression that there is still some ongoing dispute at the KD side (connectivity to NH8). Moreover, the news itself says that around 140 oustees from KD and Chauma will also be compensated and HUDA will have to conduct another draw for this (which confirms that there is a dispute). Given this background, I find it hard to digest that DEW will be fully motorable on Gurgaon side by March end.

Please note that all these decisions are being taken at the CM level. Now that the full focus of the Haryana Govt as well as the Ministry of Roads is on resolving this issue, I see no reason why the expressway will not be partially ready soon. Once the ROB is ready in the next two months, there will obviously be full focus on getting the other bottlenecks resolved. Since progress on the expressway has been frustratingly slow till now, most of us have become too skeptical. My gut feeling is that the expressway will be motorable before start of next monsoons. In any case, I definitely see light at the end of the tunnel and am now certain that my investments in Dwarka Expressway will yield good results over the next 2 to 3 years.

  • Huda to give 500 Dwarka e-way oustees plots By rehabilitating nearly 500 non GPA/SPA oustees, the 18-km stretch will be made motorableBagish Jha | TNN | January 13, 2017, 18:20 IST

GURGAON: To make the Gurgaon portion of the Dwarka expressway motorable by March, Huda has decided to rehabilitate nearly 500 oustees of the project, except the general power of attorney (GPA) and special power of attorney (SPA) holders.

Rehabilitation of oustees is held up due to litigation. Huda had completed draw of lots for allotting alternative plots to oustees, but allotment letters were not issued as the Punjab and Haryana high court had issued a stay on the issuance of the same to oustees with GPA.

"So a high-level meeting was held in Chandigarh two days back and it wasdecided that the urban development authority will issue allotment letters for alternative plots to all non-GPA and non-SPA oustees," Huda administrator Yashpal Yadav told TOI on Thursday.

"The HC has ordered a stay only on the issue of allotment letters of alternative plots to people with GPA and SPA. But there is no stay on issuing allotment letters to those who do not fall into the category of GPA and SPA," said Yadav. "So we have decided to move ahead with the project and intend to make the Dwarka expressway, also known as Northern Peripheral Road (NPR), motorable by March," he added.

A 14.5km-long stretch of the 18-km expressway is in Gurgaon and is nearing completion.

The remaining work is likely to be completed after the rehabilitation process is over. The expressway is incomplete in Kherki Daula and New Palam Vihar.

No matter how hard you try which you are doing for last 5 years - d eway is doomed and people are stuck for looooooong time - for last two years no one wants to even look at that place - all annoucements which happened during every july aug every year was just a drama by the builder bankers babus and brokers - agar meri baat maini hoti to apne ghar mai hote arur money double ho gayi hoti -

Jo bola wo ho kar rahega - its plain simple science not a rocket science - waise bhi gurgram has started to going back to its gaon status - I know 10 big companies who have moved out of gurugram to bangalore - 10 big companies means 20k jobs - gurgaon errrr guruGRAM all set to become the village it was once .
there are so many examples all over the world where a region boomed and doomed when it was just dependent on one sector of economy take some cue - act smart get back to somewhere where the economic activities are not limited to one sector
