A lot of companies are advertising for property citing nearness to Dwarka expressway corridor.

Shilas, Indiabulls Centrum Park and Ramprastha Edge Tower come to mind.

Does anybody have news on when this construction will start and when it is likely to finish? Has the contract been awarded and to whom?
Date of completion and start of operation will be vital news for evaluating the pricing of flats sold in this corridor.

Last I heard was that a few houses in Palam Vihar were slated for demolition for this expressway in May June 09 or thereabouts.

  • Kherki Daula toll shift date in 15 days
TNN | Aug 24, 2017, 07.39 AM ISThttp://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/thumb/msid-60199905,width-400,resizemode-4/60199905.jpgGURUGRAM: The relocation of the toll plaza at Kherki Daula, which has been on cards for some time now, has been further delayed, after concessionaire Millennium City Expressways Private Limited (MCEPL), in a meeting with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and bank officials on Wednesday, sought 15 days' time to work on some issues, before it could finalise a date. These include the process of shifting the plaza, acquisition of land and cost of shifting.

NHAI has deputed project head Ashok Sharma to help MCEPL to sort out the issues. After the 15-day period, a final meeting will be held between NHAI and MCEPL to decide the day of shifting. The cost will be borne by NHAI.

"The meeting went on for six hours but no decision could be reached. MCEPL has asked NHAI for 15 days to sort out some issues," said Ashok Sharma.

"NHAI is in the process of selecting how many toll gates will be set up at the new site. We're yet to finalise whether the new plaza will have staggered gates — with toll collected at two places — or a unified plaza. The decision will have to be approved by the Union road and transport ministry, only after which will we be able to go ahead," Sharma added.

Sources revealed NHAI is waiting for the state government to hand over the land where the toll plaza will be shifted. NHAI had told the administration they need 23-24 hectares to set up the new plaza. The location has been finalised at Sehrawan in Manesar tehsil, 10 km from the Kherki Daula toll plaza.

"Yes we have sought 15 days' time to sort out some issues before shifting can begin. In fact, the Haryana government has asked for one month's time to give land to NHAI, before which, nothing can happen," said S Raghuraman, CEO of MCEPL.

    Service Road at Kherki Daula

The service road which was being built by BJP MP Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria at Kherki Daula toll plaza was dismantled on Wednesday by Skylark Highway Solutions, the agency tasked to ensure security of the toll plaza. T C Rao, chairman of Skylark Highway Solutions said, "We got the orders from NHAI to clear the service road . That's what we have done."

The NHAI team had inspected the entire area on Monday and had directed MCEPL to issue a notice to the BJP MP to remove the debris from the service road by Wednesday evening, failing which they would take strict action. S Raghuraman, CEO of MCEPL, said, "Skylark is responsible for the security of the toll plaza. The mere fact that the MP went on the service road to make the road with his machines, is a lapse by Skylark. What were their marshals doing?"

Refuting the claims, Rao said, "Jaunapuria is a BJP MP, the state government and central government are both of the BJP, so we took a back seat. When this road was being made, we informed the cops. The NHAI officials told us to maintain status quo after which the work was stopped."

15days assume as 150 days minimum. If it will happen ... Heaven for us.
  • 1. What about connectivity of New Gurgaon to Golf Course? Are there any plans....I hear a lot about Central Peripheral Road(CPR)....will it give a boost to this area?
    2. Why New Gurgaon shouldn't be preferred over DEW....many ready to move in options, better developed than DEW
    3. People talk of dull real estate, what about Central Park Grad Spa flats(in new gurgaon) selling at 1.5-1.7 Cr
Having said that, there are projects like DLF new town heights which are selling at price of garbage and still no one is ready to buy it :D

PS: What happened to the 100 smart city dreams by Modi?

I dont see the road in any shape before 18-24 months. may be their intent is right, but that doesnt matter. even now when DEW cant be cleared, why cant they just make small strides by making the rural roads at the end of the NH8 motorable till UERI and then upto UER II.Why cant the lay a good road outside of DPSG palam vihar and make the chauma crossing a relatively easier one to use, why cant to do a temporary diversion to the bajghera rail crossing to let people use it, instead they have shut down every connection and with impunity. This is what is alarming in this country.

Bala, you are right. I am saying same thing for years. The 30 feet road in continuation to 75m road meeting at Sultan Farm is in bad shape. Who is stopping government to repair that to a smother ride. 100 feet bajghera road is only 15 feet wide and hardly vahicle can cross each other. Who is stopping government to make it atleast 40 feet wide. There is a 30 feet village road from firdaus farm towards Manore One connecting D/H border is in bad shape.
Its not only the litigation and court cases but government's intentions as well.............

  • On DEW, few things have moved.

And we can see that RoB Got completed. And the NH Status, does give government powers to acquire land, without too much litigation.

However, we have to understand, the Government of India, cannot be "Seen" to be forcibly Acquiring Land.

As the same Media, which is questioning, the delay in DEW, will then hit back with "Poor Farmers" Land Acquired Forcibly by the Draconian Anti- Farmer Government.

Remember, what happened when PM in 2014, tried to change the LARR of 2013?

It's clear that people who's Land have been Acquired have Made "WINDFALL GAINS" by getting Alternative Plots at good locations.

The land these people in the alignment of DEW was worth "Pennies".

It became a prime land, only due to : DEW Passing thru their Lands and REAL ESTATE Development, that happened since 2007.

Hence, lucky as these people are, they have lost 10 PRIME Years of their life, fighting illogical court cases.

    Why?

Cause, they think, that GOVT and PEOPLE who invested in DEW are DESPARATE Lot.

More the Delay, more they can extract higher prices.

And to some Extent it's True. The NUISANCE VALUE of these Land Owners, has given them "SUPER POWER" Like.

And hence, they will continue to obstruct.

Unless. JUDICIARY, takes a strong view that you cannot hold progress of Important Infra Hostage to personal whims and fancies.

From nothing, in 2007, to virtually CROREPATIS in 2017, the Land Owners, have earned, without doing much.

And our GOVT is trying whole heartedly to get them to shift, but it's really the "GREED" that they need to be FREED from.

  • Hurdles cleared, Huda to speed up Dwarka expressway work

Bagish Jha| TNN | Sep 3, 2017, 07:15 IST Huda will take possession of the land acquired from oustees in Palam Vihar and Kherki Daula to build the incom... Read More

GURUGRAM: Around six months after handing over alternative plots to oustees of Dwarka expressway project, Huda is all set to take possession of the land in Palam Vihar and Kherki Daula to build the incomplete portion of the much-awaited highway in Gurgaon.

"We had already given alternative plots to the oustees. As per the final terms of settlement, Huda had to give six months to oustees for relocation from the handover date of allotment letters of alternative plots," said Huda administrator Yashpal Yadav. The six-month deadline ends on August 31.

He said Huda would take possession of the vacant land (plots without structures) in the first phase, and the plots with structures or houses in the second phase.

"By taking possession of the vacant plots, there will be enough space to create a temporary road to ensure movement of the vehicles from the area to connect two sides of the road," said Yadav, adding that compensation for structures would be released at the earliest to set the stage for demolition.

More than 568 oustees of the Dwarka expressway project — from Chauma, New Palam Vihar, Kherki Daula and other areas — had applied for alternative plots under the final terms of settlement (FTS) of 2015 prepared under the supervision of Punjab and Haryana high court.

The Huda had identified 212 oustees eligible for rehabilitation and handed over allotment letters to 148 of them in Sector 110A and Sector 37C. However, as many as 64 oustees are holders of general power of attorney and special power of attorney, and their rehabilitation hopes rest solely on the Punjab and Haryana high court.

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has already given NH status to the 28-km Dwarka expressway, which starts from Shiv Murti in Delhi and ends at Kherki Daula in Gurgaon.

The 18.1-km stretch of the road is in Gurgaon, while the rest is in Delhi. The authority has to construct 1-km stretch of the highway in New Palam Vihar and a 400-metre stretch in Kherki Daula village to complete the Gurgaon portion of the road. Huda has to clear the land hurdles and hand over plots to the NHAI for construction.

The NHAI has almost completed land acquisition for the Delhi portion of the road.

This Shows the INTENT of this Government is very clear. The Execution is partly depended on Judiciary, and partly on GREEDY LAND OWNERS and Mr. RISHI RAJ RANA.
To actually shift out of the way, and let DEW get completed for the benefit for Lakhs of People who have invested here since 2007.

  • Hi team, wanted to understand something.

Once RERA is implemented, the builder will have to shell out around 10% every year for late delivery. Almost all projects on Dwarka expressway are delayed by an year at-least while most of them are delayed by 2-3 years, even by good builders. Assuming an apartment worth 1 crore, and assuming a delay of 3 years, will the builder be interested in paying the buyer 30L. Or is there some workaround for the builder?

@har_bh completely agree sir! This "applied for" OC is a big sham. All the crooks will be able to evade punishment. This govt, like the previous one, is not interested in providing justice to home buyers. Pathetic state of affairs!
