Absolutely sir, atleast for all the 100+ sector which comes within feeder bus distance (2-3kms) from the alignment especially for the 111, 110A, 110, 105 and also 106, 109 side. aloso with bajghera ROB getting finalised by the time this metro comes it will be a great thing. right now there is no public transport integration to this side. so this is very good news.

If you look at the attached picture which is the finalised alignment, it will bring end users and habitation to the area. which will mean increased political and beaureaucratic attention. Right now a big civil movement from the endusers is a biggest drawback why DEW is lagging behind.

    thanks for sharing..

Metro won't be anywhere near to the DEW!

Is it confirmed that alignment is high speed or is this an old speculation image?

Hi Harmits - I see what you are saying. Perhaps its right, but do note that metro line will be running parallel to the DEW (within 250-400 meters) for the first 2.5 kms of the DEW from Dwarka upto bajghera road. Also for the metro to influence inhabitants of DEW sectors, it need not be going bang on the road, its enough if people get connectivity within a couple of KM. from their sectors. We have all seen how metro helps people within a 2-3 km radius of where they pass through. In that way all these sectors on either sides of the DEW i.e 106, 109, 110, 111, 110A, 112,113 will be certainly benefitted. with a little bit of last mile support sectors 105, 104, 114,115, 108 will also be benefitted. that should be atleast 30% of DEW developments and cant be ignored. I have makred that area in a red dotted line in the attached image. With connections to both Delhi side/Dwarka/Airport on one side and Iffco chowk on the other side, it will server the purpose of a lot of commuters.

Also this metro will also pave the way for the rapid metro extension upto sector 23 where there is a changeover station being planned between metro and rapid metro on the lines of sikandarpur station. Its early days for this, but the planning was on hold because of the metro line in limbo. Once this clears the rapid metro extension is also cleared. The news report also says that.

I found this map on Google maps which marks out the metro lines present and proposed. do have a look.

its not a highspeed connection its a 62KMPH route just as any other metro line. The earlier plan was to connect it with Highspeed airport expressline, which would have been a disaster for most commuters due to fare conditions. 14 mins between IFFCO chowk - Dwarka 21 (12 KMS)which is much better than the present 30-45 mins that it takes today.

Once NPV issue is resolve, we will see metro running parallel to Dew also.

Over all both news Rob and metro good for Dew.

Any news on huda and outsees reaching any kind of amicable solution ?
Or HC and SC is the only solution.

There is no proper approach exist to reach proposed metro station (refer list of metro stations) from DEW or any adjoining sectors and even no proposed approach road planned as on date. There is only one connectivity exist i.e. through Bajghera Railway crossing which is nightmare always.

This route is beneficial only for old Gurgaon and few existing sectors across railway crossing and nothing to do with DEW.

Mr. Ulti- there are no proper approaches because there is no Metro. how can you have an approach to something thats not there? when the metro comes, the approaches will come. i believe in the saying .. where there is a will, there is a way... when people come, roads come.. things happen. 2-3 years it is..
Metro, ROB's, dew connectivity, NPV solution or work around, KD solution or work around. It will also take that much time for the RE cycle to come around. most of the condos will be delivered or ready for possession. People who patiently can weather this period will be in for a good time, either end users or investors they can realise their value only then.

We should talk with reasonable timelines here. As presently with unsustainable density it's not possible to build metro even in 5th phase of DMRC. Best MCG should keep a good and advanced BRT corridor in mind when executing NPR. It can be a game changer for both DEW and Dwarka and that too at negligible cost.

While the line which is proposed is an extension of airport line and is a commuter line nd not a typical metro line. It should be made ASAP and Haryana govt. should take active interest. I was told by ILFS team that there was a talk of extending it also on other end to Noida sector 62. That should make it a very useful spine of Delhi NCR region.
