If government is really serious, why they don't upgrade the Old bajghera road, why so many faults and damages on non litigation areas, why government is watching over broken 30 feet road which is the only source of reaching Dwark expressway. A single culvert can't be constructed at sector 102 in last two years. Builders are shameless, government doing nothing and we are blaming to oustees those are fighting for their rights. Land is registered or non registered but it's their own purchased land. It's not illegally occupied. If GPA/SPA holders to be blamed then half of the Gurgaon is illegal. So have patience and let the oustees fight for their rights. I am ok to wait for another year. Agar government ki meharbani rahi to 2-3 saal bhi ho sakte hain......

Just a hypothetical scenario. If I were to purchase TAJMAHAL with my hard earned money, would you still consider supporting me 😊

Gurgaon: NPR project report to be submitted this week, tenders to be floated soon

    Updated: Jun 20, 2017 23:35 IST

By Dhananjay Jha Parveen Kumar/HT FILEConstruction for the last leg of the 28-km Dwarka Expressway is likely to begin anytime in the next couple of months. (Parveen Kumar/HT FILE)

The detailed project report (DPR) on the Northern Peripheral Road (NPR) project, also known as the Dwarka Expressway project, is almost ready and the consultant will submit it to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) this week.

Soon after NHAI receives the DPR, it will invite tenders for construction. NHAI officials said that tenders will be floated by the end of this month.

Construction for the last leg of the 28-km Dwarka Expressway is likely to begin anytime in the next couple of months and a key part of it will be the building of a cloverleaf, or the connecting peripheral road (CPR) linking the NPR to the SPR (Southern Peripheral Road).

AECOM, the NHAI’s consultant, is an American multinational engineering firm that provides design, consulting, construction and management services to its clients.

Ashok Kumar Sharma, NHAI project director, Gurgaon, said, “We will float tenders soon after the DPR is received and approved. The DPR includes the 28km stretch and a cloverleaf roadway on National Highway-8 near Kherki Daula in Gurgaon.”

Union ministry of road transport and highways (MoRTH) confirmed that the big-ticket infrastructure project is a priority for both the state government and the Centre and construction work will begin and conducted phase-wise.

An official in the ministry said, “The construction will take place over five-six phases. We hope construction for the cloverleaf and CPR will begin in the first phase. The entire project will be completed in a year-and-a-half.”

Once opened, those coming from Delhi will be able to access the Dwarka Expressway near Shiv Murti on NH-8. The Gurgaon border, from this point, spans nearly 10km. The expressway will cover the airport, Dwarka and Bijwasan before entering New Palam Vihar in Gurgaon. It will culminate on NH-8, near Kherki Daula, from where motorists could access the SPR. The SPR is the gateway to several residential areas and landmarks in east Gurgaon.

“The state government’s aim is to connect SPR and NPR by constructing a cloverleaf, which is part of the DPR. We have requested the NHAI to construct cloverleaf and CPR at the earliest,” Yashpal Yadav, administrator, Haryana urban development authority (Huda), said, adding that the cloverleaf an CPR would spur infrastructure growth in the area.

It seems that the New Palam Vihar part which is around 1.4 Kms is the only hurdle that still remains

Dwarka expressway gets National Highway status

TNN | Jun 21, 2017, 12.33 PM IST GURUGRAM: National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) finally issued notification granting national highway status to 28 km long Dwarka Expressway starting from Shiv Murti in Delhi to Kherki Daula in Gurugram. The notification has come after over a year of announcement made by Union minister Nitin Gadkari to grant NH status to expressway.

With this notification NHAI has also specified the speed limit of 80kmph on Dwarka Expressway, once completed the road will emerge as an alternate route between Delhi-Gurgaon and it is expected to reduce the traffic load on Delhi-Gurgaon expressway. The move is also expected to expedite the completion of this much delayed project.

Following the request of Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar during Global Investor Summit in March 2016 union minister has announced to give NH status to the road. Later in May 2016 MoRTH has given in-principal approval to Dwarka Expressway, now finally NHAI has issued notification in this regard.

Developers are excited with the development. "We welcome the move as this will allow a positive drift in the momentum for Gurugram's real estate market. NH status will boost infrastructure development of the area and likely to promote investment in new Gurugram," said director of Mapsko, Rahul Singla.

Terming it a landmark development, official spokesperson of Emaar India, said, "Expressway has great potential due to its proximity with international airport, NH8 and SPR."

According to notification 28 km long Dwarka Expressway starts from Shiv Murti in Delhi on NH-8 passes through UER-II (parallel to Terminal-3 of Delhi Airport) up to Barthal Chowk (junction of sector 25-26 Dwarka) then it will take left turn and go straight up to Kherki Daula in Gurugram and it culminates on NH-8, around one km before Khrki Daula toll plaza at SPR, CPR junction.

The 18.1 km stretch of the road is in Gurugram and rest in Delhi. In Gurugram only, around 1.4 km stretch in New Palam Vihar (around 1 km) and Kherki Daula village (around 400 metre) needs to be constructed. While in Delhi 6.5 km stretch from Shiv Murti to Bharthal Chowk is part of UER-II (no need for construction) and remaining 3.4 km stretch from Bharthal Chowk (junction of Dwarka sector 25-26) to Delh-Haryana border needs to be constructed.

According to NHAI official for this 3.4 km stretch in Delhi, authority has started land acquisition for 2.1 km stretch. Rest of the land is under DDA, which will be handed over to NHAI. "NHAI has started land acquisition process in Village Bamnauli and Bijawan. Total of around 24 hectares of land will be acquired to complete the Delhi portion of the expressway," said the official.

The horizontal alignment of the road is designed for 80 kmph speed in general. The main carriageway is proposed to be of 8-lane with 3-lane service road on either side. At the intersections flyover has been proposed. In order to avoid traffic jam in future at crossing and junctions NHAI will construct underpass at such spots. "All the major cross road including existing and proposed master road of sectors are supposed to have 4-lane underpasses for smooth movement of traffic," said the official.

There is an issue with toll agreement where any road which can bypass toll can't be linked as that will impact toll revenue
