A lot of companies are advertising for property citing nearness to Dwarka expressway corridor.

Shilas, Indiabulls Centrum Park and Ramprastha Edge Tower come to mind.

Does anybody have news on when this construction will start and when it is likely to finish? Has the contract been awarded and to whom?
Date of completion and start of operation will be vital news for evaluating the pricing of flats sold in this corridor.

Last I heard was that a few houses in Palam Vihar were slated for demolition for this expressway in May June 09 or thereabouts.

    Start moving on Patudi road towards Patodi-First you will left behin Kadipur Village, than Gadoli Khutd. Ask for Harshru village on same road. This is next to GADOLI. JUST BEFORE HARSARU VILLAGE YOU CAN FIND DEW ROAD ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF PATODI ROAD, OPPOSITE TO HARSARU-GOVT SCHOOL

    First HUDA has to submit the papers in HC to reopen the case which shall take minimum 3 months of time from the date of finalizing the proposal.

    After reopening the case probably following 3 scenarios could happen:

    1. Litigants accepted the compensation (highly unlikely) most optimistic scenario than simply court shall pass the proposal to verdict and order the HUDA to execute as per their direction.

    2.There might be chance that all litigants reject the proposal (again highly unlikely) than based upon their objection court simply proceed for further hearing and matter shall stretch to further few years.

    3.There is strong chance that some litigants shall accept the proposal and another reject it based upon their losses than court shall take a call and ask HUDA to take-up the issue and come-up with fresh proposal those have posed the objections subject to strong enough for enhanced compensation.

    Still I feel this is not going to solve through HC and ultimately the matter shall refer to SC, as I got informed that litigants objecting the alignment of NPR and not interested in compensation.

    Also the land acquired by HUDA is quite less than how they impress the court when asked how many they are going to rehabilitate in sector 110a against nos. of affected peoples.

    Hmmm ..... great buddy for your in-depth knowledge of flight pattern over IGI airport and I think in case of emergency landing they will also going to use Dwarka Expressway and thus again creating a problem for the traffic of Dwarka Expressway as well as adjoining residents.....

    I don't have much knowledge about these 'chakkars of hawai jahajs'. I also don't know whether aircrafts have 90 degree turning capacity or not but I think they will do spiral chakkar :D ( khub maza aata hoga) , as attached below.

    Also pls try to look at the noise contours for IGI airport instead of looking at flight paths.

    A noise contour is a map linking the noise levels vs distance from the airport. It is largely linear along the runway almost like a pad and shows the noise profile of the airport and the nearby areas.
    As the plane rises higher, the noise dissipates in non-linear fashion so even if it makes a circle (actually spiral), the noise heard below is very different all along the spiral.

  • No Progress Road: NPR to miss second deadline

    Eight months after it missed its first deadline, the much-hyped Rs. 57 crore Northern Peripheral Road (NPR) project is still struggling to reach the finish line even as the second deadline looms round the corner. The 18-km-long road, also known as Dwarka Expressway, is bound to miss the

    December 31 completion deadline — thanks to the lackadaisical attitude of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda).

    The 150-metre-wide road will connect Dwarka in Delhi and Kherki Daula on NH-8.

    Of the 18-km stretch, the bituminous work is complete hardly on eight km area. Moreover, a four-km stretch is entangled in a legal dispute.

    "We still have 28 days and we hope to complete at least five km. I have asked the contractor to speed up the work and complete the stretch by end of the month," said :bab (59):Pankaj Kumra:bab (59):, chief engineer, Huda, the custodian authority of the project.

    When questioned about the reason for the delay, the chief engineer said, "The contractors are facing law-and-order problems on the NPR, mainly on the portion under litigation. The workers are having difficulty as many houses and establishments have not been removed for the work.”



    The delay has shattered the dreams of tens of thousands of buyers and builders whose money is invested in hundreds of projects coming up along the NPR. The project was awarded to JSR Construction Pvt Ltd and Indiabulls Construction Limited on April 1, 2011 and its first deadline was March 31, 2012.

    Problem is not jungle raj of people but that of the govt.

    To save land of builders; Govt. decided to choose a particular alignment where hundreds of houses with registry,water, electricity connection were present.

    If this alignment was chosen 500-1000 m away ;then it would not have faced so many litigations.

  • Dwarka Expressway: The Future of Gurgaon

    Dwarka Expressway, also known as the Northern Peripheral Road, part of Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex, was initially proposed in the Gurgaon- Manesar Master Plan 2021 in 2008. One of its edge borders the airport and extending till NH8 (Delhi- Jaipur Highway) close to Hero Honda Chowk. In this process it connects Dwarka, Palam Vihar and the adjoining planned SEZ. The other side will connect the Kherki Daula Toll Plaza.
    Sectors considered to be part of the Dwarka Expressway path are where there is immense potentiality of real estate development. Given, the number of real estate projects there already, within a few years, investors of these projects as well as home buyers are likely to reap its benefits.     Reasons for Price Appreciation in the future
    As per Financial Express, ever since plans to announce its development took place in 2008, appreciation in property prices has been observed in this region. The cost of the land (Rs/ sq. ft.) then varied from ~2,700 to ~3,100 respectively. Since then, The Economic Times has reported that the prices have almost increased three times.

    Current and Future


    While the Master plan has now been revised to 2031, it doesn’t affect the development of the Dwarka Expressway in any significant way. Construction has already been started on the Dwarka Expressway. As part of the public private partnership, it is being constructed by Haryana Urban Development Authority and Indiabulls. As much as 12 kms out of a stretch of 18 kms is expected to be completed by the end of the year. With respect to the remaining six kilometers, the Getamber Anand, Managing Director, ATS had informed TheEconomic Times that the government is taking the necessary steps to get the land vacated and rehabilitate the people currently occupying the area.

    Current and Future


    While the Master plan has now been revised to 2031, it doesn’t affect the development of the Dwarka Expressway in any significant way. Construction has already been started on the Dwarka Expressway. As part of the public private partnership, it is being constructed by Haryana Urban Development Authority and Indiabulls. As much as 12 kms out of a stretch of 18 kms is expected to be completed by the end of the year. With respect to the remaining six kilometers, the Getamber Anand, Managing Director, ATS had informed TheEconomic Times that the government is taking the necessary steps to get the land vacated and rehabilitate the people currently occupying the area.

    Thay dont make a spiral but an apprroximate 90 degree turn then head out from above sector 110 in a southerly direction for about 20 km to a designated point from where they head of in different directions depending on their destination. This is a fixed departure procedure from delhi airport.

    Four flyovers to come up on Dwarka E-way - Hindustan Times
    as per this there were four flyovers which were supposed to come up on dwarka expressway, and no litigation on the proposed land of these flyovers ....what is causing the delay in this case or any update on the same.
    any body have any update when the residents of these area will get the relief from the jams on the railway fatak.........
