A lot of companies are advertising for property citing nearness to Dwarka expressway corridor.

Shilas, Indiabulls Centrum Park and Ramprastha Edge Tower come to mind.

Does anybody have news on when this construction will start and when it is likely to finish? Has the contract been awarded and to whom?
Date of completion and start of operation will be vital news for evaluating the pricing of flats sold in this corridor.

Last I heard was that a few houses in Palam Vihar were slated for demolition for this expressway in May June 09 or thereabouts.

The rail over- and Under bridges at Bijwasan, which was proposed to ease traffic congestion in the area, is expected to be completed by August this year.
The project was started with funds provided under the 12th Five Year Plan and, at present, 98 per cent of the work has been completed, the South Municipal Corporation said.
The over and underbridges, to be built at a cost of Rs 44.2 crore, are expected to facilitate the smooth flow of vehicular traffic between Najafgarh and Bijwasan in Southwest Delhi.
Satish Upadhyay, the Standing Committee chairman of South corporation, said, “Hundreds of people travelling to areas in Gurgaon and Bahadurgarh will benefit from the bridge. Moreover, the bridges will also help check rail accidents.”
Currently, the rail and road traffic is very heavy in this particular area. The traffic density is improving gradually but it is still very difficult for motorists to cross the railway line due to heavy rail traffic.
The construction of the ROB/RUB at Bijwasan level crossing was approved by the Technical Committee of the Delhi Development Authority in 2007 and administrative approval and expenditure sanction was accorded by the corporation through a resolution in June 2008.
The scope of the project covers construction of approach roads to the over and underbridge after acquiring land on both sides of the existing road, which is 60 feet wide. The road will be widened to up to 100 feet as per the conceptual drawing approved by the DDA Technical Committee in 2007.

Nothing planned as of now for the Bajghera or Choma railway crossing. Residents travelling to Delhi or Gurgaon who want to avoid railway crossing will have to take exits on NPR and then go towards Delhi or Gurgaon using the highway. There are exits planned for all sectors including Sec 109, 110 & 110A which the user will have to take to avoid railways crossing. Alternatively you can also use the ROB at Bijwasan which is almost ready and will be opened shortly for publc. It will be around 6-8 km from Bajghera chowk.

If one has to commute locally to sec 23 & palam vihar then the Railway crossing has to be used, without exception.

    Hope this helps....
