A lot of companies are advertising for property citing nearness to Dwarka expressway corridor.

Shilas, Indiabulls Centrum Park and Ramprastha Edge Tower come to mind.

Does anybody have news on when this construction will start and when it is likely to finish? Has the contract been awarded and to whom?
Date of completion and start of operation will be vital news for evaluating the pricing of flats sold in this corridor.

Last I heard was that a few houses in Palam Vihar were slated for demolition for this expressway in May June 09 or thereabouts.

  • Gurgaon: After plot allotment, six months to vacate homes - The Times of India

GURGAON: All 350 New Palam Vihar families, facing eviction for alignment of the Dwarka expressway, are pleased with the settlement policy offered by HUDA. Officials, though, claimed it will take almost two months to finish demarcation and layout plans for fresh plots, before they can allot these alternate plots to the ousted.

For Basanti Negi, a 65-year-old resident of New Palam Vihar, the settlement policy — mutually agreed upon by petitioners and HUDA — has brought relief from the tension that prevailed at her home for the past eight years. "I live in a joint family with 12 members. The fear of eviction has haunted us for long. Now that we have been given six months time, and an assurance of compensation for the superstructure we'll abandon, we're relieved we won't be forced to leave without an alternate option," Negi said.

"We've been assured of a single-window clearance for clearing building plans, occupation and completion certificates, etc. The six-month stay may also be extended if there are any delays by government authorities," said another resident Kiran Kandpal.

A senior HUDA official said they will begin and end the allotment of alternate plots within July. "Over the next two months, we'll demarcate and finalise layouts of sectors 110A and 37C afresh, before we begin allotment. Allottees will get six months from date of possession to vacate existing homes. They will get an exclusive single window to clear their building plans, occupation and completion certificates, utility connections and other documents, so that there is no delay," the official said.

"Of the ousted, those with constructions on their plots will get first preference in Sector 110A, getting plots of same size as the covered area of their existing houses. They will also get monetary compensation for the remaining portion of their land, and for the building. Those who will lose empty plots will be compensated at the rate of Rs 3.44 crore per acre. All further clarifications have been agreed upon by the petitioners, details of which will be available only when we receive the final court orders," the official explained.

Can anyone confirm resale price along DEW. Preferable not a distress one. Though Distress one can also provide some lower end benchmarking.

This is a forum where everybody can have an opinion. No need to get personal.
