hi guys, does anyone know whats happening to unitech willow plots. they seem to be deferring possession date by 2 months every few months (first dec, then may, august, october)? and then i heard some rumor that they dont have legal right to sell plots in ugcc so they are trying to get permit for that. any insights welcome.

They are on a seeling spree and have hiked offer price. How can they do it for so long without proper permission ? Are they taking public for a ride ?

Latest about willows is that they have right for the township and have applied for change of scheme from flats to plots on the willows site. They hope to get approval in 1-2 months from the Authority.Still people are buying.God knows why.

Does anyone have any idea of the current situation with Willows?
Any idea about the current rates?
My understanding is that the rates should be around 100k/sq yrd, if this is the case then this project has not kept pace with the rates in the neighbouring Govt. sectors like sec 44

Unitech Willows 2 plots are disputed

The Life Insurance Corporation is likely to declare real estate firm Unitech a defaulter for non-payment of interest on a Rs 200 crore loan, reports CNBC-Awaaz, quoting unnamed sources. The development knocked 9 percent off the stock price, pushing it down to Rs 15.80.

Unitech had taken the loan in 2007 from LIC Housing Finance in 2007. The loan portfolio was later shifted to parent LIC.

The state-owned insurer has also issued a notice to the company barring it from selling the Noida Sector 96 land, which has been pledged as collateral against the loan.

The company had issued an advertisement seeking buyers for parts of the property. LIC has made it clear that the land cannot be sold unless Unitech repays the loan.

The loan was restructured twice, but the company has still been behind on interest payments even under the revised schedule.

Two of the company’s cheques to LIC recently have bounced, and LIC has filed a case for the bounced cheques.

The company has assured LIC that it will pay Rs 78 crore by the end of this month. LIC has taken a tough stance despite the assurance from the company, as the company has been unable to honour its commitments in the past.
