  • Voting rights in Townships

Does anyone know how those living in township projects will exercise their voting rights and how will be ward structure within the townships if any ? Since township is a kind of private ownership I am little confused , can some one throw light on this?

Townships are part of some panel or other (now its not ward but panel). Like Magarpatta will fall in some panel in Hadapsar etc. So people inside & outside the township in same panel will have same candidate.

When it comes to elections, townships are not treated any different than non-township projects.
If you are happy, you are successful.

Thanks realacres. Since maintenance of township (eg roads , lighting, water) will be taken care by township , what role elected carporator would play for citizens in township ? I understand that carporator could look after other areas in panel\word and work for betterment ,Township is fairly large area and if carporator or municipal corporation is not able to directly take care of public amenities for township citizens , they may not be very enthusiastic or motivated to perform voting.
