  • Price Trends, Real data of pune home sales anywhere?

Is it possible to get real data regarding home sales/prices in pune on a quarterly basis and update it somewhere in IREF?

Having this kind of data will help eliminate some of the bias in discussions and give real picture to buyers.

Wonder if a common man has the privilege of accessing this kind of data.

has a nice little graph that shows price trends.

    MBricks has their tool

    http://www..com/bricks/propertyRates.html?ct=4378

I am assuming Makaan, Mbricks show trends based on what properties are listed on their site. As of now there are so many crazy listing on Mbricks that it is hard to trust any analysis based on their data.

It will be nice to have some real data based on transactions that actually take place. Or is this information classified/private/ can't be shared in public domain etc......

    Any pointers

    Thanks Arun

Ok, Trying to answer my own question here.

I was not way off, There is something called National Housing Bank governed by RBI.
They have a portal that gives some info to end users.

    Housing India- Housing Information India

These guys have city wise price index here

    [http://www.housingindia.info/NHBStatisticsResult.aspx?pathid = StatisticsContent/en-US/Residex.html]

Don't know how this Index is calculated but gives a reasonable trend till Dec 2011.

With 2007 as base [100] pune's Dec 2011 index is 184. Sounds about right to me.

Will be quite interesting to see March 2012 index for Pune.
