  • Buyers on site visit clueless about what comes next - Times of India
There are many ways for a buyer to suffer while buying u/c projects.
Even in wildest dream one could expect collapse of floor etc and sad death of labourers.

  • I have also booked a flat in park express. I am currently in USA and was also looking for other purchasers in park express in order to co-ordinate about the further action to be taken. Are you considering the option of cancelling the flat/agreement?

  • Hi, I am one of them, got call from Pride office and they said in a weeks time they will inform us further situation, but said they will try to give possision on time.

  • I don't thinking cancellation is an option ! As the commissioner said we will have to take legal action to get the possession !

Hope that is true. Builders not giving possession in time even when everything is going fine. Now not sure if there is a legal action to stop any construction activity till inquiry is over, there is no option of even doing construction work covertly.

  • Don't trust the builders words, take it in writing that they will give possession by xyz date or provide compensation for the delay. If they are not ready to give this in writing, then they will not give possession by that date for sure

  • I would strongly suggest the owners to hire an attorney to discuss the situation and options. Once you take possession & form a society, any future litigation or law suits will have to be handled by the owners. If cancellation is an option, then it should be considered, especially for those who bought this only for investment.

It also looks like PMC has issued notice to Pride Purple Group to stop work at all its sites.

  • This unfortunate accident is going to impact the builder's projects.
Taking legal advice would be a good idea.
Buyers need to approach builder's office in group and seek clarifications.
Panic is no use,but considered group action is better.Form online groups and approach in consolidated group to serve common interests.
These are all problems in buying into u/c project which is having several phases.

  • I have booked the flat in Park Express, I called the pride group office but they are not sharing other purchasers information.and they will clarify the situation in a week time. Also the person who did my booking said, flooring till 6th floor is done. construction work is stopped, but will resume soon after their owner is released from custody.but they expect a month delay in possession . Also when asked about construction stay order by MNC, they said stay order is for 13th floor onwards, it will not impact the sanctioned floors. I do not trust them on this though until construction is resumed.

  • People who bought into this project must consider that the people who cast the slab for the 13th floor which collapsed, also did it for the 12th, 10th,9th, and lower floors.

Would you be able to sleep at peace (on any floor) - which is the primary reason for you to buy your own home?
