    Re : Land Acquisition Bill

CREDAI and builder lobbies are looking for only occasions to escalte housing prices. They are the real experts in making 'Raika Pahad"

I am giving below what Mr.Vijay Kumbhar RTI activist said about pune builders--

Since these builders claimed - land prices decide property prices. If you make available cheap land - these builders claimed - we can provide affordable housing for the growing population. If the size of the project is big - these builders claimed - we will get foreign direct investment to develop these townships. To provide affordable housing for the growing population in the cities, Maharashtra Government passed the special township act which was based on Magarpatta City. In short, Maharashtra Government let these builders open "Rashan Ki Dukan" of affordable homes. Maharashtra Government changed the laws and made cheap agriculture land available to these builders. But, today, what you get in these "Rashan Ki Dukan of affordable homes"? A 2 BHK Flat for 50 Lakh? Is this home affordable for the common urban citizen?,"
    What do you say now?

very nicely put. but where do u get a 2bhk of 50 lakhs these days ? even 2 bhk's r quoted at 1 crore in mumbai and delhi. unfortunately uneducated brokers in these cities, who will have to take 7 lifetimes to earn even 50 lakhs by legal and hard working means make faces as if we r talking abt 10 rs when sum buyer goes to them with a 50 lakh budget. and due to all this unfortunately we indians ourselves hav started believing tht 50 lakhs is less for housing, wherease even in most developed of nations in 50 lakh rupees u can get a decent accomodation with world class facilities and infrastructure. we r really in a sorry state of affairs as far as prices of housing in india is concerned !

Well said. Inspite of this, our ministers ask the government to push banks to go easy on builders so that they can postpone their repayments (AND these builders stubbornly increase the price of flats even though its not getting sold as expected)

This politics - builder nexus will make the rich richer and the poor poorer
