  • How Calculate carpet area

    [/SIZE]Hello Friends,
First of all let me clear that I am a very new and this is the first time I am buying a flat in Pune. I got a quote and floor plan from the builder. On Floor plan they mentioned "Carpet Area, Built-up Area and salable area." I googled and got cleaned about all this stuff. but when I calculate the actual area by dimensions, it comes approx. 425 sqft whereas on floor plan it mentioned 475 sqft. can anyone please help me to understand why is it like this?

    Thanks!

Re : How Calculate carpet area

hi rsrushi carpet area is the area inside the four walls, but carpet area is not accurate if we calculate manually, as the dimensions which are mention under the floor plan excludes the area which comes under door, passages connecting the room, windows if box type, balconys. built up area is carpet + terraces, and salable area is builtup * loading (1.25 to 1.35).
    hope this helps

      carpet area

If carpet area is mentioned as per Sanctioned plan then you dont need to worry & while calculating carpet door opening, passage, area is considered.
