    Re : New Design Issues

Thanks for taking the feedback positively even though I used some unnecessary harsh language. I am sure everyone is a little irritable in the morning :p

Please consider changing the background to a slightly darker colour to demarcate the individual posts more clearly. It will also be less jarring for our eyes when we move on to browse other sites.

Also, I think showing likes would be better than showing the reputation bar on the left.
The upgrade has also removed the small orange square which showed that a particular post was new and unread.

I hope you had taken the opinion of regular users of the forum before taking a decision. I run a medium sized advertising agency and in every new campaign, after we have collected enough data, the designs and ideas that we personally thought were the best invariably turn out to be the worst performing and the ones we thought were weird or quirky turn out to be the winners. :p

Have you considered using Xenforo? I have a much smaller forum and the switch from vbulletin to xenforo was appreciated by everyone.

edit: all the old posts are showing 0 likes...and even in new posts, we are not able to see which user liked a particular post...and we are also not receiving notifications for 'new like received' or 'post quoted'

This is useful feedback. I will get back to you with the solution. :-)

      Will resolve this asap.

Thanks a lot for pointing out errors, really appreciate.

another small bug, but a bug nonetheless:

on the homepage, the usernames are showing up with a capital letter even if they don't begin with one

    Re : New Design Issues

There is no way to "like" or "quote" or respond to a comment made on a post. Is that by design?
If so, what is the purpose of commenting and how is it better than just quoting a post?

New design is not vision friendly - looks like yesteryear older forums .

suryawork I guess this issue is sorted, please let me know if you face more issues. I have been considering everyone's suggestion but will need some time to implement changes as per the feasibility.

      Points;
The first page opens out and it is time consuming to go to last page.
Likes need to be displayed for each member
The new design some how does not appeal.

This certainly is not very intuitive.

      Re : New Design Issues

I had this link bookmarked - "https://www.indianrealestateforum.com/forum_index.php". This would on a single page show me the most recent posts across multiple cities.
Since yesterday, this link has stopped working.

Is there an equivalent link for the new site ? Pretty tedious to go to to each city individually and look for recent posts.

TruthSeeker1 I understand your concern, we have added a few new features, everyone will take time to gel with it. I guess brightness is resolved now. Let us know what more issues you are facing, we will try to resolve those on priority.

        Re : New Design Issues

New Design sucks. 100% agree. Font size is too small. There is too much brightness. Forum looks white. Tiresome to browse pages of thread. Why NCR menu is not on the top? Please provide option to choose previous theme.

Online/Offline marker which was earlier Green/Red was okay. But now what is this Blue/Grey ring at the bottom?

Why search bar is removed from sections? Earlier it was convenient to search sections and posts. How to so Advanced search now?

In notifications, it shows updates on posts of subscription threads. Why am i automatically subscribed to some threads? Does making post in any thread will automatically subscribe me to that thread and i will get notifications of posts? This is needless burden. I only want notification for Quotes, Private messages and Likes.

        Re : New Design Issues

Some suggestions to fix issue of brightness. Notice the Grey Bar that separate Posts and Quote Boxes that contains Quoted content. These should be turned more grey. Presently the entire content of page is pretty much white. The Grey sections which separate content should be little more darker in shade.

Default font size should also be increased slightly. Also fix advanced search and make it available on top of each section as before. My suggestion based on analyzing previous version of forum.
