I am living in one of the newer complexes that have come up in Zirakpur since 2000-01.There is some confusion among the residents about the conveyance deed and the registeration of the flats.Most of the residents claim that they are entitled to a conveyance deed which the builder is supposed to provide while a small number are in favour of the registeration of the flats.Out of the 300 odd owners only about fifty have got their resisteration done from the state revenue authorities{PUNJAB}.Can anybody please clarify as to the correct legal position------i.e. should an original owner of the flat go in for registeration or a conveyance deed ? while a small number are in favour of the registeration of the flats.Out of the 300 odd owners only about fifty have got their resisteration done from the state revenue authorities{PUNJAB}.Can anybody please clarify as to the correct legal position------i.e. should an original owner of the flat go in for registeration or a conveyance deed ?
