    I am from Hyderabad and have purchased an agricultural land of 1.6 acres in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh state on 06-12-2018.

    At the time of registration the seller gave me a sudden surprise that the original sale document is not there and only a certified copy of the document from the register office is available with him. I did not understand what to do but somehow managed to register the land on my name. As per the seller statement he said that the original document and the passbook of the land were misplaced by him 5 months back and so he applied for a new E-passbook and certified copy of the original document which he received after 1 month.

    My blunder mistake is that I have not asked for the original document for a physical verification. He managed that the original document was with him and he will give me at the time of registration.

    Now what are the consequences I have to face in the future without the Link document ( Original)

    And what steps I have to take from my side to be in safe position.

    Please suggest me an legal opinion.
