    Hi ,



    I am planning to buy a property in bangalore region .As my father has sold his paternal property , so he wanted to invest the same in the property .Now i cannot take home loan because of the i dont have the proper documentation . So , my wife will be taking home loan . So is it allowed to regiter a property in the name of father-in -law and daughter-in-law, as my father will be needing proof that he invested that money in the property .

      Property can be bought jointly by relatives and there is no law restricting this.

      To be doubly sure, check with an Lawyer.

      I am not that great law man, but I think you should be really good here for something like that. Please be prepared for some lawyer consultation still. Why he sold property to invest in the property which you want to invest to ? I do not get this really.

        etc, i don't think there should be any problem with that. But do remember that the percentage of ownership will decide how much tax benefit each of them can get from their salaries,

        The whole property can be under your father's name and your wife is a co-borrower for home loan, she will not get any tax benefit on the interest amount.
