Worst quality of living in NCR - which city?

Hi All,

I have been thinking of starting a thread where we discuss the city having worst quality of life in the whole NCR region. This would benefit greately the futurte end users in the area.

My view:

Rank 5
====
Greater Noida
---------------

Problem of high distance connectivity to rest of Delhi/NCR and public transport and too less density.

Rank 4
=====
Faridabad

Lack of public transport, low on water and electricity.

Rank 3
====
Ghaziabad
------------
Long power cuts and narrow roads (when compared to GNoida and Noida). But surplus of water partly makes up for it.

Rank 2
====
Noida
------

Problem of frequent electricity cuts and law and order and high rents.

Rank 1
=====
Gurgaon
----------

The worst of them all. No Electricity, severe water shortage, no public transport, dusty environment, high rents, rich people/showoff culture.

Lets share our views.

Explain how Ghaziabad has Surplus water comparing Noida/Gr Noida?

Rank 2

Noida
------

Problem of frequent electricity cuts and law and order and high rents.High rental or low rental I don't think qualifies "Living" since it depends on Demand and supply..
By the way, Law and order is more deteriorating in Ghazibad..

Good attempt.
Suggest u to have common set of parameters, rate on the parameters and then take either average or weighted average to come up with a rating.
each city has its pros and cons...... It will depend on individual's need and liking/disliking...

Parameters can be:
1. Water
2. Electricity
3. Security
4. Infrastructure
5. Social environment
6. Malls/Facilities
7. Govt attitude / focus towards a city
etc etc...

I dont understand how Ghaziabad and Faridabad are better as compared to Noida.. Be it roads,electricity, law and order, Jams, Noida is much better than both these cities.

As for Greater Noida, it has the worst crowd among all the cities.. recently, i visited Ansal Plaza in GN and I was shocked to see the kind of crowd that was there .. What would you do with the broader roads if you cannot roam safely in greater noida ?

Guys, let's not get personal motives here/let's handle this sensibly . Everybody can gain a lot from this thread, if it goes in the right direction .

We need an objective discussion .

Thanks .
